Sew & Tell Friday: Christmas Revisited

I never did a post on a couple of my Christmas projects and since I was all over the place this week (master bedroom make-over, someone having her twins early) I didn't actually finish any sewing projects.

Meanwhile, these are a couple of my early efforts at the table topper.  I found Mary Englebreit's "Carolers" fabric late in December and it was 30% off.  My Mom is a piano teacher and I liked this for her.  She also likes to have her table looking seasonal and festive all the time.  So!  (Sew!)  A table topper in the pinwheel pattern (plus a cute little cake pedestal):

Next, I had a lot of scraps leftover from the double wedding ring quilt I made for my parents-in-law.  I decided to use the biggest scraps for the background and the back and I got a charm pack of a different fabric to use for the rings of a table topper for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law:

I did a lot of sewing/quilting in November and December - it was pretty treacherous.  This is the only project with my blood on it, though:

Gross!  Somehow I managed to match their family room without trying and they have kept it on the back of one of their couches.  Seeing it that way makes me want to put one on my couch.

After the bonanza of baby stuff, I'm next!  I will be keeping my next project. :)

Be sure to visit Amy's blog for some great inspiration today!

love that table topper from the ME! Perfect use of those prints. The wedding ring is lovely. I don't think I have the patience for that pattern.

cute as always! and how many cake pedestals do you have? I want to collect them, but have NO where to put them.

Allyn was here yesterday and it was so fun! Too bad you aren't closer. I say you plan a trip to visit her and then you guys come down to NC and visit me :). Oh and your other family who lives down there too.

I love your double wedding ring table topper! That's one of my favorite quilt patterns, but I haven't been brave enough to try it yet. I love the Mary Englebright table topper too!
