Family History Photo Monday: BJ, Lloyd, and Winnifred

If I had my wish, I'd do a family history post every day.  I really want to do them right, however, so I keep digging through boxes and reading every letter and document I come across just in case there is a tidbit that would flesh out my ancestors better.  This is a painstaking process.  Meanwhile, I have all these amazing pictures I want to share.  Starting today, I will post family history photos every Monday until I run out (never).

Today it's the First Family Photo for Bryant James, Baby Lloyd (my grandpa), and Winnifred Furniss.
What a handsome lot, eh?!  This was back before photoshop, remember, so Winnifred's skin really is that perfect.  And doesn't baby Lloyd look an awful lot like Makenzie's Gabriel?  Lloyd was B.J. and Winnifred's first baby (of eight).  Mom says Winnifred took particular pride in having clean, good-smelling babies.  Here they are at the beginning of their story.  I love this photo.  I love knowing who they are.  Enjoy!

Wow, that Furniss blood is strong. Doesn't Bryant look so much like great Uncle Bob? I loved seeing these pictures, with Bryant and Winnifred at approx. my own age. It makes them so much more real to me.

Before you mentioned Gabriel, I was thinking Claire! Kenzie must have passed on some strong genes there.

I heart this picture. She really is stunning, isn't she? I don't recall ever seeing a picture of her. I also love Grandpa in a dress and what you have done with your blog. high-five!

I have a grandma Winnifred too. What a lovely name eh? We love it so much, that we named our dog Winnifred. My grandma would be so proud.
