Sew & Tell Friday: More Fruitcake, Please

I had a little retreat with my Quiltsmart class last Saturday.  The ladies in my class (most of them are grandmas) had already been there for an entire day and into the night.  Everyone had at least two empty 48 oz. cups in front of them.  They were a little crazy, but supportive and lovely as always.  I mostly sewed up some arcs for my double wedding ring runners and toppers.  Here's what's done for this week:

Another project with Basic Grey's "Fruitcake."  I made this a square just in case I want to keep it for my table.  I love these colors!

The back is very Christmas-y, but I think the front could be for anything.
I'm into the blind-stitched binding these days for the smaller projects.

Next, my Martinique Black Eyed Susan came back from the long arm quilter on Wednesday.  This is the second special order quilt from the Nice Lady at the Artisan Fair.

Allyn was so right about the centers of the flowers.  :)  It's my favorite.

Last, I finished a double wedding ring runner with 3 Sisters "Park Avenue" fabric.

I love the back fabric - those birds are awesome!  I took note of how long this measly three-ring runner takes for me to make...  Double wedding ring quilts are all love, no matter how small.  That's all I'm going to say about that.

And cheers to my new camera!  I can take close up photos again.  Life is good. :)

What'd everyone else do this week?  Go to Amy's and find out, eh.

These are all beautiful. I haven't attempted the round-edge quilting. Although it is beautiful, it doesn't sound fun. :) Thanks for sharing!

Such lovely creations. The Black Eyed Susan quilt is amazing. The runner turned out beautiful and it looks like a lot of work was put into it! Great job.

ohman! that black-eyed susan is spectacular. the red centers are just the right touch. the double wedding ring runner is exquisite and the pumpkin seed topper quite delicate.
i am trying to come up with more descriptive ways to say how much i love your stuff.
