I am going to be in trouble for this, but I can't stand it. What is this picture?! It's so funny and strange and cute all at once. My grandparents and my Mom walking away from a small airplane looking very pleased with themselves. The back says simply, "Carol, Lloyd, Peggy - May 6, 1969." As if there is no more explanation required.
I laughed out loud when I saw this. Maybe I'd seen one too many dour-faced ancestors. No, it's still funny several weeks later. I don't understand what is happening here! Penny loafers with knee-high socks and shorts? Who drove? Bwahahahahahaha!

This was well before photoshop, so that is definitely me. But the outfit is still a mystery - I don't ever remember wearing a top like that or the knee socks with the loafers, but I'm sure it must have been the height of fashion.:)
I think we had just been up in that plane with a friend of Grandpa's who was a pilot. It was Grandma's and my first ride in a plane! Yes, you are in a little bit of trouble!
I think you just lost your place in the running for favorite daughter. :)
Where did you find this?!? I love it. So much. Like, I want it blown up and hanging in my house. I wish my dad was in it :)
Bahahahahaha! Hello, New Desktop. What the WHAT? Look at them all just owning it. Oh, wow. Thanks, man.
Awe.Some. :-D
They mean business.
How cool is this picture?! I expected this from Grandpa, but this is a whole new side of Grandma :). I love this!
mom was pretty funny telling me about this picture this morning on our walk. her description was pretty funny, but the real thing is even better. don't they totally look "ocean's 11"-ish. like that plane is going to explode in a few seconds. i love that you said that they looked pleased with themselves. hahahaha! mom said that she never wore t-shirts and that she didn't remember having knee-hi's. hahahaha. it just gets funnier. her hair looks really cute, though.
I LOVE that picture. Thanks for the laugh!
This is awesome!
They're totally on special-ops. You can hide weapons in those socks.
