Sew & Tell Friday: Easter, Christmas, Kitchen, Summer

First, the "Easter" project.  Not really Easter, but Bridget has been calling it the Easter Basket Quilt, so...  I'm thinking it could work for a little girl's room or a tea party (what else would I think?!).  Once again, I used Quiltsmart interfacing and this time it was Amy Hamblin's "Marabella" fabrics for the baskets:

I had Crazy Wendy quilt a tulip pattern on it for me.  (Seriously, she is unstable.)  Why did I put the not-perfect ric-rac handle right in the middle?

Can you see that cute little butterfly quilted into the white fabric?  I'm so easily amused.

Speaking of being amused, I made another Christmas lone star with Riley Blake's "Be Merry" fabric.  This time I used the fabric with The Night Before Christmas printed on it for the border.  As I was working on it I was getting subliminal messages:
Ahahahahaha!  Like I said, I'm easily amused.

Save your comments about the porch rocker - I know I need to paint it.  It's a fun quilt, right?  I think I do like the other one better, though.  And this photo makes the blues look more psychedelic than they look in real life.

Next, a pumpkin seed!  Surprising, I know.  I realized I didn't have very many table quilts for square or round tables compared to the runners.  Ta da!

Can you see the pumpkin seed/flower in the border fabric?  Fun.  For me, anyway. :)

Last and least, I'm experimenting with potholders/trivets and the Grandmother's Flower Garden block.  Especially after noticing in the aftermath of one of my tea parties that the hot teapots had burned my dining room table.  I digress...

I can't decide if it was successful.  I like how it looks, but it took a lot of time, which means I need to charge appropriately for it.  Anyway...

I might do one or two more before I make my final decision.

Happy Sew & Tell Friday, everyone!  Go to Amy's blog to check the rest.
