Second Sunday

This post is mostly for my Mom. You never see comments from my Mom on this or any other blog. Her computer won't "let" her make comments. It's probably because she talks with her hands.
Anyway. We had a family Sunday dinner last night at Makenzie and David's house. We ate outside on the deck! The kids played in the blow-up jumping castle thingy even after Bridget bit through her bottom lip! (And until Chloe and Bridget were jumping so much that the air hose came unhooked. The castle started deflating very quickly and Chloe was screaming like she was an extra in a disaster movie.) Harrison & Chloe took their Candy Shoppe on the road for a few minutes. Bridget's not much of an employee - definitely unsanitary. (Hmmm. Is that a different outfit she's wearing from the first photo?) Rob and Claire left before we could sing "Has Anyone Here Had a Birthday" to Rob and before I could remind him that he owes me money. (You owe me money, Rob.)

Man! It was a delicious meal! Maybe it was because it was Fast Sunday (we had stake conference last week) and maybe it was because I'd spent three hours making a peach crisp for the first and last time, but it was the best lasagna I've ever had. Melissa brought the best bread sticks I've ever had. Claire's salad had the most delightful grape tomatoes in it. I fought my genetic instincts to fill a plate with just grape tomatoes. (Look at Gabriel's mad clean up skillz.) And of course the company was my favorite kind. We missed Mom and Dad and Aaron. Especially Aaron.

So there you go, Mom. We said we would do it and we did it. :-)

Next time, if you invite me, I can bring some killer deviled eggs. ;)

Ah! I had to check to make sure it was MY mom leaving a comment and not some crazy person pretending. You beat the computer! Way to go!

Wouldn't that be weird if Jen and Aaron had lasagna for dinner on Sunday?

Btw, the peach crisp is totally delicious, but it took forever to peel and chop all the peaches. It also leaked on our car floor mats. Booo.
