In Memorium

Almost 13 years ago we bought a little puppy - the runt of the litter. We named her Maggie. She liked to dig and help Brian mow the lawn. Actually, she liked to be with Brian no matter what he was doing. Maggie never jumped on people. She endured children and our hyper beagle, Daisy, with patience. Thanks for being a good dog, Mags. We miss you.

Oh, so sweet. I'm so sorry for your loss.
We have a hyper beagle too. Please tell me how you dealt with a beagle and a baby. Or is your beagle always outside? I feel like Lyla hardly gets anytime on the floor because Sugar just will not leave her alone or stop licking her.

We never got the chance to find out how Daisy would be with a baby. She disappeared on Christmas Eve in 2006 (I think someone stole her during her evening visit to all the other dogs in the neighborhood). And Daisy was an outside dog, too. One good thing is that Bridget is not afraid of dogs at all thanks to Maggie.

I appreciate your condolence, by the way. :)

Oh, sad day. Dogs and especially retrievers are great.

I'm sorry about Maggie, and really can't believe that both of your dogs are gone. Oh the stories you used to tell! Tonight I will raise a glass of Diet Coke to your puppies.

I am really sad for you guys. Those dogs really do work their way into our hearts! We still don't have a dog because of my sad dog stories from high school (among other reasons). My kids loved to pet Maggie-before the fence! We will be thinking about you guys.

When did she die? I am so sorry! She was a good dog, and you are right, Bridget isn't afraid of Cosmo at all thanks to Maggie.
