I'm trying to figure out Photoshop (Elements - not the genius version) these days. I can do the painting thing in Elements, right? How does layering work? Should I take a class or feed someone cookies and have them come over and teach me? Bah.
I love this picture even though I wanted to really play up the color of Brian's and Bridget's eyes more. They're looking at me. Just like "Somewhere in Time." ("REEEEEEECHARD!" I wonder if Anne and Kellie read this blog anymore. Remember that? Does it have to be late at night in our apartment at Ricks for that to be funny?) Love my sweet girl and my handsome husband. :)

I thought it was funny! My sister named her daughter McKenna after Elise McKenna. DEFinitely one of our faves.
was that jane seymours name in the move? that scream IS the best part of that movie.
that is such a sweet picture. it is killing me how old bridget looks. please push stop on her aging button until i see her again, which probably won't be until summer of 2010.
I spent forever trying to figure out Elements, once. I had to give up. Seriously, what is this "layering" they speak of?
Everything in Somewhere in Time makes me laugh.
Layers: Imagine you are working with overhead transparency sheets placed on top of your photo. On each successive layer (or just the one, if you want), you can make adjustments to said photo without actually changing the original. Thumbs up for that. :-)
I can't give you any help with Elements.... I always figured it was just like the regular Photoshop, but missing the complicated stuff, until I tried using my sister's copy of it. It's a completely different beast! Different interface, different names for the kinds of adjustments you can make.... I was so confused.
I'm not too shabby with the real thing, though, if you want to outsource! Is the pic I get when I click on this the full size photo? I'll take a stab at it tonight and get back to you (if that's okay).
(And *ah!* Somewhere In Time! I watched that when I was ~12 or so and thought it was the MOST ROMANTIC THING EVER!!!! With lots of exclamation points, because I was 12.)
i can't even open photoshop. my husband uses it exclusively for his livelihood so give a call- but it's not for the faint hearted.
I can't believe how much older Bridget looks in this picture! She's not a baby any more. Strange how that seems to happen overnight.
My home teacher uploaded Photoshop on my computer and gave me a lesson. The thing is, I know nothing. I think he thought i knew at least a little. It was so confusing! When we have money I plan on taking a lot of classes. It really is a beast. Good luck. And seriously, Bridget looks so grown up!
Remind me to tell you about curves and actions for PSE.
