Sew & Tell Friday: Martinique and Avignon

My projects are very French this week.  And one of them is going to be used for a breakfast of Belgian waffles.  The other one is for a tea party.  (Very Belgian.  Very English.)  First, a table runner (the pumpkin seed is back!) with nine different 3 Sisters Martinique fabrics (from a layer cake, of course):

Even the back is pretty:

Of course I have to feature a teapot:

This next table topper is THE CUTEST THING EVER.  I decided to tackle the North Star block and it was easier than I thought it would be (it also took a lot more fabric than I'd planned).  I used Quiltsmart interfacing again (what else), which I'm sure contributed to my enjoyment of making it.  I love this fabric - it's Moda's Breath of Avignon:

Look at the back!!! (I know it's just one piece, but it's so pretty.)

Doesn't it look like this butter dish was made for this table topper?

I have two other ones that are this close to being finished, but I didn't want to make y'all feel bad with my rabid productivity this week.  Material Girls celebrated Craft Month (March) by having double punches on Tuesdays.  I've been taking advantage ("sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name...") big time.  As Bridget and I went grocery shopping the other day she asked, "Is it double punch day?"  Dude.

Check out Amy's blog for more sewing stuff!

Your table runner is beautiful. I love the fabrics that you chose, especiall the backing fabrics.

Your star quilt is pretty, too. I have never used Quilt Smart. I may have to give that a try.

Those are both sew pretty! And I can't decide if I like the fronts or the backs better. Just plain loveliness.
