Otherwise known as "Let's Tidy Up the Nursery." Ever since we have known about the Big News, I've had a hard time concentrating on doing any sewing for anyone else. Unfortunately for a sweet soon-to-be mother who ordered a custom crib quilt from me. I had to dig deep to get this thing made, but it's at the long-arm quilter right now. Yay! Now I just need to bust out the little pillow with pom-pom fringe in the same fabrics and I will be on to the next thing. Even though it was hard to start, I like how this turned out. She requested Michael Miller's Plain Jane fabric in navy and yellow. That was almost mission impossible - out of the ten stores I looked in, only one had any left. And that store was 45 minutes away. Bah. (I swear I checked every online store, too. Double bah.)
I also got a binding on the Sherry Berry winter quilt. This is such a pretty quilt in person - I don't think the photos are doing it justice. Also, the back is the coziest.
I asked Bridget to pose in it for me and she was very reluctant to get out of this quilt. Especially since it was cold outside.
There are some great finishes over at Amy's blog. Check them out, eh! Happy Sew & Tell Friday.

Beautiful! I love the quilting on your Sherry Berry quilt.
Love them!
Better believe I only got as far as the "Big News" link and had to dash away to read that post first. Thanks for writing inverted pyramid style :). Too big of news to bury at the end1

Lovely work and lovely colors! Thanks so much for sharing.
The daisies are ADORABLE! We have that fabric and the Mormon Handicraft and I've loved it for months. Maybe you should make me something (like a bag) with daisies on it! You don't have much else to do ;).
THese are both so lovely! Love the colors in the in both... although they are certainly different.
Congrats on the Big News!!!! What a wonderful, wonderful thing! I am so happy for you and your family! And, you're quilts are so beautiful. I don't blame your daughter for not wanting to unwrap herself from that quilt....it looks so snuggly and warm!
