Baby Colin

Colin has been sleeping a lot. He reminds me of Bridget when she was a baby because he is so small and it looks like so much effort for him to blink. Where Emil is a man of great passion, Colin is long-suffering. He squeaks more than he cries. In the last few days his chin has appeared. He still looks like a worried, little old man. I find myself singing to Colin what I used to sing to Bridget, a little tune that goes:

In the leafy tree tops the birds sing... GOOD MORNING, COLIN!

"Really? That song?" He looks like he might have strawberry blond hair. How about that?! So cute. Colin likes to be toasty warm all the time and his special talent is getting everything but his diaper wet when he pees. Real special.

We set these two in the boppy (or whatever that half doughnut thing is called) yesterday and laughed and laughed. Poor Colin! Fun is fun, though. I'll probably do this once a day.
He can't help being delicious. Look at Colin's face! "I guess this is happening."

It's kind of creeping me out how similar Emil and Colin are to Ed and Henry. The "handsome little man" and the "worried old man" are to a tee how my two boys are. What a perfect little pair they are. I can't wait to hug them!

I have a picture of my twins almost exactly like that, except one is eating the other's ear. I'm sure they did this kind of thing in th womb. Very cute boys.

How sweet! I think every family needs at least one "long-suffering" child. It helps make life easier. That last picture cracks me up.

The similarities are freaking me out! I have a picture of Nick eating Max and Max just looking like, "Ok. Whatever." Your babies are adorable!!! Love it so much!!!

Sorry - had to say this, too. Max was our old man. He looked like Mr. Burns. He seemed to be laying low and plotting - "excellent." Just wait for Colin to make his move!

Oh my goodness, they are little angels. We are so happy for you. We can't wait to see the three of you home . We are practicing with Nate to "whisper", but he yells back after a few whispers, "jezpa" haha his way of saying whisper just makes me laugh. We love you all and can't wait to see the three of you. Take care:) Give them some hugs for us.

Thank you for providing me with so many awesome screensavers lately! Every time I pass my computer and see Emil eating Colin I think, "I guess this is happening." HA!

your description of him is so precise and makes me feel like i know him already. with that special talent thing: point it down before you seal the diaper. left or right= no good. it shoots out the little gap that his skinny legs doesn't fill in. aren't weewee's so fun!!
