Family History Photo Monday: Lee Girls in 1970s Fashion Shoot

Jennie, Nicole, Katy, and Allyn on Grandma Furniss's couch in 1978 or early 1979.

There we are.  All wearing red pants.  Mine have a house on one leg.  Katy's got the Old Woman in the Shoe's house on her shirt.  I think Jennie's has road signs on it.  And we have balloons!  Am I the only mother who doesn't like balloons?  They're always in a bad spot and when they lose the helium they somehow stick around the house (in a closet, in a drawer, under the bed) for too long.  Not my favorite.  (I love that my hair is static-y to the balloon.)  But!  We are cute as can be even in the crazy clothes. :)

i don't know why, but this is one of my favorite pictures. i also don't know why there are so many pictures of the four older girls together. curious. i guess gpa stopped taking pictures of us when melissa was born. i bet there is something special about those balloons. like they came from some fantastic place we went with the grandparents.

Ok, that was just weird. I had those exact same pants, Nicole! When you mentioned the house on one leg and I looked at it I had a total flashback of wearing those pants! Wild! I think I actually had a shirt that matched too. What a great picture!

I agree about the balloons, by the way.

It is interesting that there are so many pictures of the four of you. We had just moved back to Idaho after three years at Ft.Bragg and Grandpa went crazy taking pictures.
Those were the applique years - I made Katy's outfit but not Nicole's. Also one of my favorite pictures of my cuties!
