Kristi and I (bravest moms ever) took Clara and Bridget to the Salt Lake City Library yesterday.
They have the most amazing childrens' section ever AND plexi-glass elevators.
As soon as we set them down, the two little girls ran and ran and RAN.
They found the tree house-like area and did about thirty laps around it. Bridget was up and down the aisles as fast as her little legs would carry her. They ran into a gentleman riding a horse and talking on his cell phone.
When we came back to that section later, the gentleman had stupidly abandoned his horse and Bridget mounted and took off on it.
Clara was pretty patient waiting for her turn, but then she looked awfully smug as she was riding. (If that isn't the funniest thing I've ever seen, I must see a lot of funny stuff.)
We took the girls back to the elevators for more deliciously scary rides before we sat down for some snacks. Clara was overwhelmed with the responsibility of sitting in a chair by herself and had to be escorted away for a few moments. (I wasn't taking the chance of giving Bridget her own chair. I'm mean that way.)
We sat them on a bench outside to look for the keys to the car and I noticed later how exhausted both of them look. If they look exhausted, you know it was a work out for Kristi and me. I'm so proud of us (mostly pregnant Kristi) for going on adventures.

What a blast that was. Brave, indeed. I was just as wiped out as Clara was when we got home. I slept for 2.5 hours, and woke up to find Clara already awake. Oops.
Excellent. The highlight of Xander and I's week is storytime at the library. Miss Tammi is the best story-teller. I'm usually laughing harder than the kids!
Notice there are no pictures of me reading to Bridget. That's all she wants to do at home and we get to the end of the rainbow for books and she just runs. Sigh.
