Even though the sale at my favorite fabric store is calling my name for two more days, I'm feeling good about my cheapness today.Albertson's is having my favorite sale - Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup and Cream of Mushroom Soup are only $.50 a can right now. Since I make my share of casseroles, this is a big deal for me. (Is my Dad the only person in the world who eats the Cream of Mushroom Soup all by itself? My blog should be a good enough sample of the world to figure that out.) I bought 20 of each flavor. Yay!
Brian cleaned out his closet the other day and found some "denims" (as my Grandpa calls them) and a few shirts he no longer wears. I took them to the consignment store today and got $45! Bonus - Bridget was able to use their bathroom again and I didn't gag this time.
Last, but not least, one of my piano students paid me early today. I'd like to thank the universe for smiling down on me. And for frowning at me earlier this week when most of my students hadn't practiced.

That's awesome! $45 is an excellent amount at the consignment store. I took stuff to one for a while, but it was too much work, and not enough reward. I just donate to DI, and take the write off.
Cream of Mushroom straight? Definite no and I'm interested to see the results of this survey. :)
I've been known to eat Co'M soup just as soup. Sprinkle in a dash of pepper, top it with a bit of cheese (everything is made better by cheese).... Yum! I don't eat it a lot, but I've had it and it's tasty that way. :-)
My verification word is EAYVL, which makes me wonder if the computer is trying to tell me something (is it wrong -- like morally, ethically wrong -- to use Co'M for anything other than casseroles? LOL).

In all my cheap shopping years, I have never paid under 69 cents a can for campbells cream soup...that is delightful. Watch amazon's grocery deals. I have been getting some great things...yogos - $1.00 a box last week! No tax, free shipping!
Koryn Furniss taught me to eat cream of mushroom soup by itself. Yum. Of course I never buy canned soup anymore but if I did- definitely cream of mushroom.
I seriously don't even use CoM or CoCHix anymore, but they used ot have it available at the salad bar as the "soup of the day" in the dining hall at Peace and I would eat two bowls of it every time. Some foods are only reserved for the college life when you are desperate, like Pop Tarts.
