Sew & Tell Friday: Sewing Rampage

This last week has been the perfect storm for me to sew a lot of stuff.  First, it was Conference weekend - I'm positive I was the only one who never fell asleep once during the whole eight hours because I was cutting or sewing.  My little set up (my sewing machine in front of the comfy chair in the family room and the ironing board next to the chair) worked so nicely that I left it that way until a few hours ago.  Add the NCAA final, Spring Break (no piano students) and all kinds of Jazz games and you get the following:

1. Another Martinique pumpkin seed - this one is a square instead of a runner and I used only pinks and coral:

2.  Drunkard's Path (the latest block I learned in my Quiltsmart class last month) with Breath of Avignon.  This one required cutting 120 4 1/2-inch squares and 120 quarter circles (first session of Conference on Saturday).  I then needed to iron down those quarter circles onto the 4 1/2-inch squares.  We had a pretty good assembly line thing happening for the tedious parts of this quilt top.  I can't decide if I should machine quilt it myself or send it out.  Advice?  Is the pieced pattern enough?
Doesn't that look crazy-hard to do?  Nope.  Just a little tedious.

3.  On Monday night I thought I'd get as far along as I could on another Martinique pumpkin seed table topper - this one in blue.  I ended up finishing the whole thing:
I like this back a lot.  :)

4.  I made these car seat covers on Wednesday:
I kept it real by not vacuuming the wood floor before I took a picture of it.  Also, most of this stuff is now in my etsy shop.  We're having free shipping right now. :)

5.  Last, but not least, I finished this double wedding ring table topper today.  They FINALLY got the yardage of Rural Jardin ("The Rural Juror") at the fabric store so that I could put diamonds and a back on this thing.  It's been finished for two weeks.  I love this fabric.  LOVE.
The background fabric is this fabulous muslin with little flecks of tan and brown in it.  Very rustic looking without actually being rustic.  My favorite.

Off I go to clean the lint out of my sewing machine.  Happy Sew & Tell Friday!

Hi Nicole,

I am loving everything that you have posted. I didn't really like that Breath of Avignon fabric but you have made it look fabulous!

And the Rural Jardin wedding rings - I am in love. I may just need to get myself a fat quarter bundle to squirrel away.

Thanks for the eye candy! Have a great weekend.

You are one crazy sewing fool. They are all lovely but I'm especially in love with the last one. Gorgeous! Your carseat covers are fantastic and I wish my baby was small enough for me to still use mine.

I love quilts with curved seams, so your site was simply a feast for my eyes. Gorgeous! I'm cutting a drunkard's path myself right now.... :-)

Great finishes. I don't think I am ever going to get tired of seeing your pumpkin seed quilts. I think I am a bit smitten with the design. I guess I might have to do something about it and give it a go.

I'm now a believer! Who knew a human could get that much done in such a small amount of time?? YOU!! The thing I like best about quilting with you is that you actually quilt more than you talk, which is why you will always be ahead of me! I LOVE PUMPKIN SEED QUILTING!
