Family History Photo Monday: Helena and Florence Lallatin

I don't know about y'all, but I don't remember seeing pictures of Grandma Carol's mother, Helena.  Grandma had a few framed photos of her mother, but they must have been in the master bedroom or some place that I didn't go very often.  Among the many photo treasures in Grandma Carol's boxes was a photo of a young Helena with her sister, Florence.  A recurring "theme" (if you will) in the Lallatin/Chester family is sisterhood.  Helena and her sisters took care of each other and Grandma Carol and her sisters took care of each other.  I feel like my generation is doing the same.  Cheers to sisterhood!

i can't believe someone would try to get rid of these pictures. was that the original plan?
so, is helena the one on the left or right? the one on the left looks like a lee, almost aunt jane-ish. the one on the right reminds me more of grandma furniss. but really facial features do freak things when mixed up with another set of facial features, so it could be the other way around.

anyway-once again, thank you for doing this.

Helena is on our left and Florence is on our right. They're both "familiar" to me, but I can't see anyone in particular in either of them. Weird, huh?

Flo looks exactly like Gma Carol to me. What a great picture! Thanks for posting it!

I can't believe you found such a treasure! Funny how Mom doesn't have any sisters but made up for it in children.
