Sew & Tell Friday: One Last Job

I finished up a few things for my shop.  The last few things I will be putting in there for a while.  I finished the Daisy Quilt and its companion, Pom-Pom Pillow, as well as a few car seat blankets.

The woman who ordered this is doing a navy and yellow nursery for her baby girl (due in February).  Cute, right?  I like that she's doing something different.  And who doesn't need pom-pom fringe around all of their pillows?!

I am trying to clear the decks here, so I made up a few car seat blankets that I had almost all the pieces for - both "girl" blankets.  (I secretly have fabric for four more, not counting the two I have for my babies.  So not in the mood to make stuff for other people right now.  KnowwhatI'msayin'?)
What?  I bought that fabric at the only store in the universe carrying the big daisy version.  Who you callin' a "Big Daisy?"
I could not figure this fabric out.  I finally put minky on the back and it made me happy.  Then it sold.
Oh!  I almost forgot.  I woke up at 5:00 in the morning last Saturday and I felt the urgent need to finally make some blocks for my virtual quilting bee, A Notion or Two.  Since these feelings are usually fleeting, I busted three of them out (and that's not even all the ones I still need to do - Worst Member of a Virtual Quilting Bee award goes to me).
This is for Amylouwho.  It took me maybe 30 minutes to make it and only because I had to keep coming into my office to look at the instructions again.  Why did I put this off for so long?  It's so cute - I want to do more of them. :)
These are for Sarah.  I drew a crazy picture of this one on a sticky note so that I wouldn't have to keep coming back and looking on the computer.

Tara's concept was very vintage and London and Union Jack.  She gave us free reign and I had no idea what to do with it.  I need to practice my little North Star block, so I cut her fabric scraps into 1" strips and added a few of my own fabrics.  It reminds you of Union Jack a little, admit it.
Amy has been at the ball all night, so check back later today for Sew & Tell Friday finishes.

That Union Jack square is crazy. I mean 1" strips?! Yikes! I love it.

If I had a girl baby I'd be coming over today to get that daisy car seat cover!

I love the daisy quilt and pillows. If I have another girl baby, I am totally keeping that in mind.
