Three Months
It's time to report on our babies' third month! We had a healthy time of it, thank goodness, but I hit the wall anyway. Turns out you can go about two months without good sleep and listening to a lot of crying before someone (Mama) cracks. I have night terrors under normal circumstances and I had one a few weeks ago that put hair on everybody's chests. In conclusion, I had to wear a sling for a few days. After that incident I decided that Saturday was a special day that I would get at least three evening meals to the point of assembly to limit my responsibilities in the next week. It worked out so well! I'm sure Chik-fil-a is wondering what's up, but I'm winning at motherhood now. We also had a few carpets and both couches professionally cleaned. The easier to play "What's That Smell," Deary.
As you can see, Emil is a giant. We shouldn't let him get that close to Colin - it looks like Colin might taste pretty good. Emil is barely fitting into the 0-3 Month size. He eats 6 oz. of formula every 4 and a half hours and he sleeps an average of 7 hours at night (wahoo!). When he's done eating, he likes to bat at the Elmo on the arch Harmony let me borrow. When Emil is fed and not tired, he loves to talk. He waits for someone to come into view, then he smiles and coos. Emil also loves to puke. He's very quiet about it, so sometimes I will walk around without a care in the world until I notice that my arm is cold or the back of my leg is cold. A-ha! There's puke on me somewhere. I'm guessing Emil weighs close to 12 lbs, but I don't know his weight for sure right now. Emil is soft and cuddly, loud and stinky, and we are loving him every second.
Colin is still small. If Emil wasn't around, I wouldn't think anything of Colin's size because that's how Bridget was too. He eats 4 oz. of formula every 4 hours and he's been doing better and better at night sleeping between 5 and 8 hours. I'm guessing he weighs close to 10 lbs - I know he's a lot smaller than Emil. Colin likes to nap in his bouncy chair, but at night he prefers his crib. When I try to put him in his crib for a nap, he wakes up after about 5 minutes. Believe it or not, Colin is talkative and smiling more often than Emil. I don't know why I haven't been able to catch him with my camera except when he looks so anxious (notice his security in holding Bridget's hair in a death grip). Colin likes to swing and bounce and move in general. He's started burping like a real boy recently, too. Colin still likes to burrow into the person holding him, which is the most adorable thing ever. We love him!

What sweet little guys. I love that Bridget has joined them for their pictures also. It looks like she loves her brothers a lot.
I loved reading this post. It takes me back. I loved watching how different the boys were in personality, size and temperament, made all the more obvious because of the contrast of two at once.
Dinner was the first thing to go for me while taking care of twins. I should have thought of your idea. It would have worked, I think.
That top picture is melting my heart. What sweet children you have. (When they aren't puking.) Congratulations on WINNING at motherhood. You're an inspriration.
Sooo cute! 3 months alread?? I love the pictures of all 3 kids!
your boys are just so yummy. I need to squeeze them more often. I almost grabbed Colin right out of your arms on Sunday. Oh, wait, I was busy wrangling my circus. Sigh. Love you, Buzz and Woody! (p.s. Dan calls them Alpha and Omega. Tee hee.)
