Sew & Tell: "You Really ARE a Winner!"

I entered three quilts in the Eagle Mountain Quilt Show and I donated one for the auction.  We waited until the last half hour of the last day of the show to go and see if I won anything and look at the other quilts.  After getting the car packed with all the children and driving out there we were too late.  They'd closed up early to get to the rodeo.  Sad!  BUT!  I won first and second place in the intermediate category!  I found that out by calling my friend, Lynette (she puts on the quilt show) and when I told Bridget I'd won she was unimpressed.  Yesterday Lynette hand delivered my winnings.
This is my 12 Days of Christmas Love Ring Quilt.  I won a gold medal and two quilt kits with patterns.  (Quilt kits are bags of fabric with all the stuff cut out already.  I don't know how I feel about someone else choosing all my fabrics, but it's a lot of free fabric and two free patterns, so YEEHAW.)
And my Rural Jardin Double Wedding Ring took second place.  For that I got a silver medal and a $50 gift certificate to a really good fabric store.
Once she saw the beautiful medals, Bridget could not stop congratulating me and telling me how proud she is of me.  "You really ARE a winner!"  Hahahahaha!  Lynette assures me that there were a lot of beautiful entries and I didn't win two prizes because there were only three quilts to choose from.  I'm so inspired right now!  Makes me want to get cracking on a new quilt.  Because I really AM a winner.

Laughing out loud at Bridget! Show the medal and THEN I'll believe you. You are amazing!
