Sew & Tell Friday: Finished!

Maybe some of you have noticed my link to Sarah Jane's blog.  I've been enjoying her artwork in Bridget's room, the playroom downstairs and even on my calendar.  I love it!  Now she has fabric.  It was killing me to wait for the yardage to come to the fabric stores I frequent.  When it finally did, they weren't carrying enough of the line, so I bought a fat quarter bundle of 14 from (ironic) the fat quarter shop online.  My obsession with Quiltsmart's Apple Core pattern continues - but, COME ON!  This had to be done.
Don't you love the colors and the sweet little patterns?!  Orange is one of my favorite colors for boys.  I think it was the day after I bought the border and the back that my favorite quilt store got all the flannel from "Children at Play" in.  Not cool.
Emil is secretly crying here, but he looks good.
The back is Moda "Dottie" fabric (which they've updated and it continues to be awesome) and I used a flannel version of the turquoise and orange stripe for the binding.  Bias cut!  (Not by me.  I sewed it on, of course.)

Since I posted only the tops of two of my other projects, here they are all finished a fantastic. :)
That's Colin on my other boy apple core quilt.  I think this is the only view of the boys where they look related.  Ha!

I'm linking to Fabric Tuesday.  Go enjoy!

So cute! I love both of these quilts, and I have to say, the apple core is an awesome idea for Children at Play, works so nicely with that collection!
