Family History Photo Monday: Playing in the Dirt
This is a great photo. I don't know who "Roy C." and "Norma B." are, but Lloyd (sitting in the back on the right) is my Grandpa Furniss and Lola F. is his sister. The rooftops in the background are familiar as possibly Grandma and Grandpa Ohlson's neighborhood in Ogden, Utah. Being that dirty can only be the work of grandparents. :) Is that a chicken coop behind them? All four of these children are adorable, but I think Lloyd and Lola are the cutest. Roy's kind of rocking a codfish look. I love seeing Grandpa as a boy. He was always an observer.

this picture really tells a story. very "little rascals". look how gpa's ear is sticking out on his right. other than that, it doesn't really remind me of him. this is cute.
Oh, I love it. Codfish = favorite description :).
Such a great picture! Lola's face! Norma's hair! Codfish kid! It has it all.
I thought Lola was Grandpa until I read the note on the picture. I didn't realize they looked so much alike. Sorry I can't help out with the mystery of the other kids - the names don't sound familiar. Fun window into life in the 1920's.
I got a message from Uncle Mark (he wasn't able to comment here) that "Roy C." is LeRoy Crossley, one of Grandpa's cousins. No one knows who Norma is so far.
A+ Uncle Mark! I love that little face- the eyes are very familiar. They look just like my two-year-old.
