A Few of My Favorite Things

My spring piano recital was a few weeks ago and I never reported on it.  Mostly because I wanted to include a video of Bridget and me playing a duet but the video we took included lots of dead air while Bridget collected her courage to go on with the show.  This is Bridget's third recital with the rest of my students, but she's only five years old.  I forget that.  She is so brave and adorable!  I did a recital a few years ago where I paired up my students for duets.  I have about half as many students now, but we did it again and it was my favorite thing again.  The kids really step up their performances when another student is counting on them.  (You can just barely see the top of Bridget's hard-earned trophy in the photo above.  She finished the primer level of her books during the last year.  Champion!)  It has taken way too long to figure out this video, so I hope it worked.  I may not have time to shower now...

Way to go Bridget!

Nicole, I'm needing to find a piano teacher for my daughter. She's been playing for several years with a piano teacher up in Bountiful, but it's time to find one closer to home. Are you taking new students, or do you know any other good piano teachers in the area who are taking new students? I'm not sure where to begin to look.
