I needed to do something fun and Spring-y this week. Sometimes it was nice outside and sometimes it was a snow storm. Either way, I was inside being sick and wanting to slap people. (That made me think of a conversation I once had with Angie wherein we wondered if we'd ever have the chance to clear a desk in an angry huff. Like on Knots Landing.) Instead of hurting people, I created a couple of happy table quilts.
The first one is the pumpkin seed pattern with circles in the center of the "flower" so that it doesn't look like a pumpkin seed anymore. I used mostly scraps. I really had a lot of that yellow...
I've had this Oh-Cherry-Oh fabric for a long time. I made a bunch of bags with it, but I had fat quarters and some of a jelly roll left. This is a pinwheel pattern with circles:
My only regret with this one is that I didn't make it bigger. And I could have. It still looked really cute on the table. No snickering about my machine quilting job. Why don't I ever make a plan first? There are more pictures of it in my etsy shop.
I think that will have to be all for this week. My computer is taking a hundred years to upload pictures. I don't like that. Happy Sew & Tell Friday! Be sure to check all the other projects on Amy's blog.

Very spring-y and very lovely!
Great job! I especially love the one at the top.
Happy quilts, indeed! The pumpkin seed piece is adorable - are they appliqued or pieced? Hope you feel better soon!
beautiful quilt and awesome finishing...
visiting you from sew & tell
Secretly the first thing I noticed was how much I liked your machine quilting on the second one. Shows what I know, I guess. So fun and Spring-y and much less dangerous than a slap in the face. Well done!
Very pretty.
And, that lasagne does look fantastic.
lovely. lovely. I especially like that first one!
Great quilts. I am going to have to check out that pumpkin seeds pattern!!
Blessings,
KT
They are both lovely, and I love your quilting - it adds caracter!
I love both of those! They look great and I now, FINALLY, know what I'm going to do with my charm pack I was trying to find a fun little design for.
thanks!
Very springy! And I would love to clear off a desk in a huff. That would be so fun. But too messy.
Both of them are really pretty! Much better than hurting people. :) Nice job!
Can I come hang out with you and take pictures of your quilts and adorable tea kettles? (where are you getting those, anyway? I love them!)
I love the pumpkin flowers! The cherries are sweet and springy!
mmmmm...both of them are too beautiful for words. are you going to give me (your sister) my half of that? (rather than a slap in the face. not that we are twins, but we could still share.)
These are amazing! so very much spring!
LOVE your quilting, I wish I could do the shapes on the first one you shared!
I really like your finishes. The Oh Cherry quilt is just lovely. I really like your quilting.
great finishes for the week....
so pretty! I love how you turned the first one into flowers! You are very clever, Miss Nicole.
Wish we lived closer so we could have a sewing date. Allyn is coming up next week for a sleepover! Do you have skype? We'll call you!
Those first flowers are just so cute! Very springy and not like pumpkin seeds at all (in a totally good way :o)
These are just wonderful! Love the bright springy colors!
Very spring-y. Still love the pumpkin seed pattern. I personally enjoy serendipity over planning . . .usually! Your quilting looks great!
Two lovely quilts! I especially like the cherry oh one and I think your quilting looks just fine!
